(DIY lace kimono/ Vintage jellyfish necklace+belt/ Glamorous dress/ Front & Company clutch+wedges)
Back in November, when I was completely obsessed with everything from the 20s, I made this kimono for my textiles class. It was originally supposed to be four inches longer but while I was pressing the bottom fold with the iron I didn't realize the heat was up to 8 (for delicate fabrics is 1-3) so the lace stuck like glue to the machine and well I was left with gigantic holes on my kimono. My teacher then used the piece of fabric left on the iron, what was now a burned cookie, as an example for her future textile's lessons about how to use an iron properly. Surprisingly , this accident benefited my project, if not it would have looked too big on my petite body. ←still, don't do this as an easy way to shorten your garments readers ;) , trust me, you're house will smell like a burned oven for the next few days.
Happy Thursday everyone!
